facebrooks #413 – “Steph Infection”
Ok… so for new readers of the series – this chick, right at that last panel, hasn’t appeared since this strip, Facebrooks #221, but she has a gigantic history within the comic itself, and in order to get the full effect of these next few strips, you’re going to have to dig into the archives a bit.
I’ve been pushing this encounter off a little bit for storytelling purposes. It actually happened much sooner than what I’m drawing, and the only reason it’s here and not in the 300s or anything is because, quite honestly, I figured readers were getting really sick of the moping that her atmosphere brought to the series. At least I was! So I decided to space it out a bit and toss it in after a whole bunch of more fun stuff happened, just so everyone (including me) could take a huge breather. Thematically, it also fit too. So I hope everyone can dig it for a bit.
